Terms of Service

AltAuditor connects to your Sanity or Payload project, uses AI to draft alt text for images that are missing it, lets you review and approve each suggestion, and writes the approved text back into your CMS. We also generate a compliance report showing your alt text coverage. A free, no-account scan at /scan counts how many images on any site are missing alt text, without generating or writing anything.

AltAuditor is prepaid: you buy image credits or a monthly subscription, and each image processed through the AI review pipeline uses one credit. See our Refund Policy for what happens to unused credits and how cancellation works.

You may only connect a website or CMS project that you own or have explicit permission to modify. AltAuditor reads your CMS's media library and, once you approve a suggestion, writes alt text directly into it -- so connecting a site you don't control, or don't have authorization to change, is a violation of these terms.

You won't use AltAuditor to scan or process sites for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that places excessive load on someone else's infrastructure.

AltAuditor never overwrites alt text a human already wrote. Every image is checked for an existing alt attribute before it's queued for AI processing and again before write-back -- if one is already there, we leave it alone and don't flag it as an issue. This is a built-in guarantee, not a setting you need to turn on.

Alt text suggestions are drafted by an AI vision model. They are suggestions, not guarantees of accuracy -- that's why every suggestion goes through human review before it's written back to your CMS. We don't warrant that AI-drafted alt text is accurate, complete, or sufficient for legal compliance (e.g. EAA/ADA) on its own; compliance depends on you reviewing and approving what actually gets published.

AltAuditor is under active development. The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AltAuditor and its operators aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including data loss, lost revenue, or compliance failures. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose.

You can stop using AltAuditor and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, including the acceptable-use section above.

We may update these terms as the product changes. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of Republic of Serbia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
